The Lady Anansi was born into minor nobility, the oldest of three children. Her childhood was spent in the pursuit of book learning, needlework, and learning to run a household. Her parents had great hopes for her future, but she ended up disappointing their search for a greater title by marrying Tusec Bogstrider, a free man (not much better than a peasant, in the opinion of her mother) for love (useless, in the opinion of her mother). Fortunately her father loved her enough not to disown her, and let her take along her trousseau when she wed. She has taken to the life of wandering quite admirably and enjoys the relative comfort her husband can provide from his mercenary ways. She uses her skills as a needlewoman to keep them suitably clothed and even takes in some additional sewing when she has the time.
