Incident Report

At about 3AM, all was not well. Shopekeeper reported hearing noises. Guard on patrol went to investigate. Nothing appeared missing. Window open that shopekeeper claimed had been latched. Took a walk around the perimeter of building. Walk took unfortunate turn when officer fell on face. Shoes mysteriously tied together by their laces.

Shopekeeper reported seeing small cloaked figure down an alley when officer was down. Followed suspect into alley. Unable to determine who or what it had been. Trashcan pushed over. Suspect likely climbed over wall. Finished rounds. Returned to Headquarters. Fell on face AGAIN, same problem. Begin to suspect being followed.

Personal notes:

Appears to be new Guard, although not officially on roster or payroll. Small and does not fight. Refuses to wear proper uniform. Likes fire. Something else odd, but unable to put finger on it. Respectfully submit that Cap’n is out of his head. Lugg notes that new member is “good at tying knots in things.”

Have not fallen on face recently. Required to wear buttoned boots for personal safety. Not happy about this. Think new member thinks it’s funny.
